MSU : EDUCATION : TRAINING CENTERS OF MSU : Training Center of Ship Mechanic Department

Training Center of Ship Mechanic Department of MSU is equipped with three trainers of engine room “Dizelsim”: DPS 100, DPS100M21 AND DPS100 Colourgraphic. All trainers are produced by Norwegian company Kongsberg Norcontrol AS.

All software of trainers allows to simulate work of main gears and systems of engine - boiler department of up-to-date vessels with different installation using duple engines and three - phase engines.

Trainers allow to control about 2500 different characteristics. Instructor's remote control permits to simulate weather changing, waving, icing, air and sea temperature, ship cargo and so on.

One of the main advantage of future engineer - mechanics training is the possibility to simulate 350 general faults of systems and gears. Drilling of right decisions about faults elimination allows to improve experience and knowledge of a crew and decrease the possibility to have these extreme situations on a vessel.

More than 1000 engineers and ship mechanics were trained within this program. Students of the Institute of raising skills, engineers - mechanics of ship navigation companies of Far East raise their professional background with trainers of engine room.
