Holiday for children!

In December 27th students of Psychological Institute hold the holiday in the Maritime State University named after adm.G.I. Nevelskoi. This holiday was organized for children from the Regional Social Rehabilitation Center. This center is the home for homeless children from Primorye.

The university conducted the press-conference devoted to around the world tour of “Nadezhda”. The Head of the university Sedyukh V.I., “Nadezhda” captain V.M.Cononov, pro-rector of the university Khovanets V.A. answered the questions.

Around the world trip of “Nadezhda”

Training boat “Nadezhda” of Maritime State University named after adm. G.I. Nevelskoi will start the around the world tour in January 19th 2003. It is not the random choice. Two hundred years ago Russian sailors under the command of I. Kruzershtern and U. Lisayanskyi made the first around the world tour on sail boats “Nadezhda” and “Neva”. “Nadezhda” will start this tour in order of this event.

First interuniversities historical readings

Marine State University named after adm.G.I.Nevelskoi will held the first InterUniversity Youth Scientific Practical Conference "Marine Historical Readings" in December 18th and 19th. This conference will be devoted to the 260 anniversary of Vitus Bering’s tour to the coasts of America and to the 200 anniversary of the first Russian round the world tour under the command of I.Kruzenshtern and U.Lissyansyi. Organizers of the conference are the Departmen of MSU History and Marine section of Amurskyi regin exploring society.

Bouquets laying

In December 7th at 11am bouquets were laid to the monument of admiral G.I. Nevelskoi. University staff, students and cadets gathered on this holiday. Rector of upbringing and social-staff work V.M. Kononov made a holiday speech. The orchestra of MSU played the solemn marches.

Congratulations!

We congratulate

Michail Belushkin, post graduate student of the second year who had been appointed the special governmental fellowship for special achievements in academic and scientific activity.

Anna Shuklina, the second year student of Psychological Institute, who got the second place in the first city competition “Miss Student”.

Uryi Chekhranov, the senior teacher of Physical Training Department, Master of Sports, author of “Trainer for sportsmen”. For the first time the university has got the certificate of achievements in physical training.

Four years ago, friendship society “Russia-Japan” and Primorskyi Department of Russian Writers Unit held the first international internet-conference where sailor-veterans and students took part. Then it was decided to establish Remembrance Day for Dead in sea in December 13.

The Marine State University is ready to celebrate the birthday of admiral G.I.Nevelskoi. The university was given this name in 1965.
