It is a literary and art miscellany, under whose cover different names and various literary genres gathered together. | more |   August 27, 2003Results of international sailing regatta Final results of the International Sailing Regatta "Cutty Sark" were summed up, where the MSU sailer “Nadezhda” took part. | more |   August 20, 2003“Nadezhda”s long milesWe would remind that at present the “Nadezhda” is taking part in the final stage of the Cutty Sark Regatta held in the Baltic. The first leg of the Race was held along the Gdynia (Poland) - Turku (Finland) route from 22 - 28 July, 2003. In all about one hundred tall ships from more than 20 countries took part in it, the first leg result for the “Nadezhda” was the fifth place in her class.

| more |   August 8, 2003Maritime university ship modelists won gold!The team from the Maritime State University named after admiral G.I.Nevelskoy won 4 golden and 3 silver medals and took the first place at the European Championship in Ship Modeling held in Bulgaria on August 3-6. The team comprised Vladislav and Galina Subbotins, Maxim Gayek and Anton Kislov. The 12-year-old schoolboy from Vladivostok Anton Kislov competing in the youths’ category set a new world record. His cord model of A-3 class developed an unbelievable speed of 212 km per hour.   August 7, 2003200 YEARS LATEROn August 7,2003 200 passed since the first round-the-world voyage was made by the sailing sloops ’Nadezhda’ and ’Neva’ whose commanders were Ivan Kruzenshtern and Fyodor Lisyansky. The voyage was completed in August 1806. Kronstadt was the initial and final point of their route. On January 25, 2003 the training sailcraft owned by the Admiral Nevelskoy MSU with the navigating cadets on board set out for her round-the-world expedition following the ’Nadezhda’ and ’Neva’ route. Having passed part of her route the modern ’Nadezhda’ anchored in St.Petersburg, where the crew and cadets were relieved.
