News for may, 2004 May 31, 2004Our student is the best one Three years ago the “Career-Forum” Crewing Agency, Vladivostok and the Municipal Employment Center launched a contest of the same name to bring together employers and 4th or 5th-year students of all the Universities of the city. This year Yevgeny Mikhailov, a 5th-year student of the Economics and Management Faculty, MSU has won the contest. He was able to demonstrate his best qualities, like erudition, charm and actor’s skills.

The book was published under the aegis of the Popular Publishing Program. Its authors are Bylorussian poet Leonid Dranko-Moysyuk and translator of his poems Yuri Kabankov.

It was a beautiful, touching and a little sad event for the leavers, their teachers and parents. The parting words and wishes sounded in speeches made by Lyceum Director Y.N.Konovalova, Vice-Rector of the MSU P.K.Chebunin and others.
The majority of the graduates are planning to enter the Maritime University.

On 9 May there was a procession and meeting in honor of great Victory.
The Kholmsk cadets are active participants of the video studio.

On 11 May the Fishery University and the FENU received students from Canada who arrived on board the training sailer “Concordia”. On 12 May the ship “Kayo Maru” berthed at the Marine Terminal and 13 cadets and 3 teachers of the Higher Marine School of the Prefecture Niigata (Japan) became guests of the Maritime State University.

Vladivostok waited for her 14 months. The RF Ministry of Transport and Communication established memorable decorations for all the participants and the MSU administration prepared Letters of Gratitude.

Press Service of the Maritime State University | more |   May 7, 2004Guests from JapanOn 12 May at 11 hours the training ship “Kayo Maru” owned by the Higher Marine School of the prefecture Niigata will moor at the Marine Terminal of Vladivostok. The Japanese cadets will be guests of the Maritime State University named after G.I.Nevelskoy. Friendship between the Japanese and Russian cadets lasts for 10 years. For this decade hundreds of future Japanese seamen have visited the port of Vladivostok and learned about the Russian system of marine education.
