News for june, 2004 June 28, 2004Applicants of the Maritime state university On 25 June the MSU Admission Commission started its activities by accepting 96 applications. Today the MSU offers 32 specialities and specializations, three of the are absolutely new ones: “Radiophysics and Electronics”, “Information Security of TV Communication Systems” and “Physical Culture and Sports”.
688 students will be funded by the Government. The documents will be accepted till 15 July. Entrance examinations will start on the 16 July.

They will find jobs at ship repairing facilities at Valdivostok, Slavyanka and Nakhodka.

All of them had shipboard training which lasted about 10 months.
Press Service of the Maritime State University   June 23, 2004Professor Slesarenko’s diploma Some days ago the British International Bibliographical Center (Cambridge) sent a diploma certifying that Vladimir Slesarenko teaching at the MSU named after admiral G.I.Nevelskoy is included in the 2,000 most outstanding scientists of the world of the 20th century for his merits in the sphere of marine sciences, in particular desalination of sea water.

Press Service of the Maritime State University   June 17, 2004Korean training ship in Vladivostok Today the Maritime State University again received guests from the Marine Research School (Pokhan, Republic of Korea). The trainees and instructors arrived aboard the training ship “Hae Ma Ji”. The ship called at Vladivostok for the second time of late. The first group of Korean students visited Vladivostok including the MSU in late May.

At the opening ceremony Galina told about every painting of hers presented there. She paints to the music which sounded at the opening.
