News for january, 2005 January 31, 2005Research and practical conference – day 2 On 27 January the Research and Practical Conference “Civil Society and Peace-Keeping Potential of the Russian Far East” finished. As urgent subjects were discussed there were hot discussions. Mr. Kavaguti, Acting Consul General of Japan was among speakers.

All his career is connected with our University: he graduated from its Engineering Faculty, then he was its Dean and now is the 1st MSU Vice-Rector.
  January 25, 2005"Nadezhda" forever Today is two years since the sailing training ship "Nadezhda" owned by the Maritime State University set out for a round-the-world voyage.
The sailing ship was on a voyage during 14 months having returned happily home on 28 March,2004. The voyage was long, difficult and interesting.

It was organized by a youth’s non-commercial organization “Future of Asia” and the MSU Center of International Research”. Vladivostok University students were invited to take part. The conference was held within the framework of the program “Global Partnership to Prevent Armed Conflicts”.
Vadim Gaponenko   January 14, 2005Autographed books gifted to museum More than 650 books autographed by their authors were given to the Arsenyev Museum by Vladimir Tytskikh, well-known Primorsky writer (nowadays he is heading the Department of Information and Press of the Maritime State University).
