St. Valentine’s Day

Yesterday you could really meet … with a devil or angel in the University corridors and classrooms and get a "heart" at that. Perplexity gave way to a smile, and then one remembered suddenly that February 14 is the Day of all those who are in love.

Humanization is upbringing

On 31 January a session of the MSU Academic Council was held. There was one item on the agenda which arouse common interest, a great number of questions and different opinions – “A concept of teaching social subjects at the Maritime State University”. V.M.Kononv, Vice-Rector in charge of social, personnel and educational work spoke on the subject. The theme sounded wider and deeper as it was connected with the general concept of humanitarization and humanization of engineering education and in the final analysis became a conversation about a triple problem: training – upbringing – morality.
