On 28 March the barque “Kruzenshtern” arrived in Vladivostok. She is a training ship owned by the Baltic State Fishery Academy. She moored at berth 33 where Primorsky Governor, Vladivostok Mayor, Pacific Navy Commanders, marine cadets and people of Vladivostok met her.

Participant of the Conference and official representative of “Orthodox Encyclopedia” | more |   March 23, 2006Celebration of the submarine navy jubilee On 21 March there was a meeting devoted to a centenary of the submarine fleet. 100 years ago the Russian Emperor signed a decree by which submarines were declared a separate class of battle ships. Vladivostok became a cradle of the Russian submarine fleet.
There are quite a few submarine officers among the MSU teachers. The MSU Youth Center prepared a concert for them.

Four subscribers of the “MegaFon- Far East” will sail from Vladivostok to Hong Kong aboard the legendary sailing ship as crew members of the round-the-world expedition. On 28 March, 2006 the sailer will arrive in the port of Vladivostok. On 6 April four MegaFon subscribers – cadets of the higher marine education institutions will leave for southern China.

Frolov was born on 24 January, 1906. In 1932-1936 he was a student of the Odessa Institute of Water Transport Engineers. In 1936 he was sent to the Far East. From 1947 to 1952he headed the Department of Marine Transport Operation and Deputy Chief of the VHMC.

On 3 March the Department of Chinese Philology arranged an event timed to the Chinese New Year, which is in fact a Festival of Spring. Here were a lot of teachers and students present.
