News for july, 2006 July 31, 2006International Camp for Students of Maritime Higher Education Institutions On 22 July a delegation of students, cadets and teachers of the Maritime University set out on a friendly visit to Dalyan (China) to take part in the International Camp for Students of Maritime Higher Education Institutions.
The Camp of Chinese and Russian Maritime Universities gathered students of the Nevelskoy MSU, Fishery University (Vladivostok), State Maritime Academy named after S.O.Makarov (St.Petersburg), Dalyan Maritime University, Shanhai Maritime University, Uhen Maritime University and Tzimei University (Makao).
The MSU delegation includes 19 students and 4 teachers.
The CPR Communications Ministry, People’s Government of City Dalyan, RF Transport Ministry and the Dalyan Maritime University organized the event.
The Chinese side prepared plenty of training, cultural and entertaining events. Every day of staying in the Camp of Maritime Universities was filled with new information. Russian students were given a chance to learn to tie Chinese knots, make Chinese meat dumplings and play international badminton when two participants of each side have their legs tied together (2 persons = 3 legs).

Press Service of the Maritime State University   July 28, 2006Third Group of IAIT Graduates  On 28 July the third group of graduates of the Institute of Automation and IT were awarded with their graduation diplomas in three specialities: ‘Means of communications with mobile objects’, ‘Independent information and controlling systems’ and ‘Automated information processing and control systems’.
This year IAIT diplomas of graduation were handed to 56 persons. Nine of them got honors degrees.
Press Service of the Maritime State University   July 24, 2006MSU Yachtsmen are Winners once again!  On 23 July yachtsmen of the Maritime State University came back from Japan after the end of a regatta “2006 19th Michinoku Bank Seikan Cup Yacht Race”.
The Regatta began on 15 July from the port of Hakodate (Hokkaido Island). The participants from the Asian Pacific Region were supposed to cover the route up to the port of Aoomori (Honsyu Island). They has to fight against a strong constant current of the Sangary Starit and oppose feeble winds of the Aomori Bay.
The participating yachts were divided into two groups. The first and more numerous one embraced sailing boats with ORC measurement certificates and the other one, so-called “free” (open) class included the rest of them. The MSU yacht “Commodore Bering” (skipper 1st Vice-Rector Vladimir Gamanov) won the first place in the “open” class. The sailing boat reached the finish on 16 July 10 hours after the start. The Russian yacht “Fantasy” (Yachts Club “7 Feet”) won in the ORC class.

been maintaining friendly relations and the year 2006 has been declared “the Year of Russia in China”. Within the framework of this event, on 22 July a delegation of students, cadets and teachers of the Maritime State University will make a friendly visit to the city Dalyan. An international camp for students of maritime higher education institutions has been organized in the campus of the Dalyan Maritime University.

On 13 July the results of the rally were made known in the Maritime State University. The MSU Rector V.I.Sedykh handed letters of gratitude to the participants and sponsors of the event.

In 2006 the expedition will have two stages. On this great day the graduates were congratulated by those who was with them during all five years of their training: director of the Maritime Technological Institute Lev Borisovich Leontyev, chief of the Curriculum Department Alexander Dmitriyevich Yuzov, dean of the Technological Faculty Vladimir Mikhailovich Datsun, heads of chairs Vladimir Mikhailovich Khodakovsky and Sergei Borisovich Budrin and deputy dean of the Technological Faculty Svetlana Yuryevna Umnikova.
On 10 July, 2006 the Technological Faculty turns four! Despite its young age, six chairs set up in 1944 – 1946 are subordinated to the Faculty.

He entered the Nevelskoy MSU following his father’s example who graduated from the Marine Engineering Faculty of the FEHEMC. From 2002 Victor got a Faculty and University scholarship, was rewarded with numerous letters of thanks and diplomas for his excellent results and active participation in creative life of the University. In the 5th year he received a Primorsky Governor scholarship. He defended his graduation project in English. The graduates, their parents and friends gathered at the Assembly Room of the Maritime State University.
This year 65 persons got certificates of special secondary education at the Nevelskoy MSU. Seven of them obtained a distinction. The Nevelskoy Maritime State University took part in celebrations: some Institutes collected clothes and toys for the children staying in an orphanage. At first I also was about to bring something, but then I decided that if you wish to do something really good and kind and necessary, you should do it on one’s own from beginning to end.
