At the Maritime University Mr. Lin Syan-Syan familiarize himself with the Institute of Sea Protection activities, visited simulators imitating shipboard equipment and met with the MSU leadership. Delegation from Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam) During four days that representatives of the Ho Chi Minh City (former Saigon) Transport University spent in Vladivostok they were able to do a lot: they took part in the First International Festival of Young Captains, familiarized themselves with Vladivostok and exchanged opinions and experience with the MSU teachers. To be a success in this kind of sports, one needs excellent health and a sense of rhythm together with a team spirit.
At the European “Dragon” Boat Rowing Championship that completed in Prague the Russian national team won the European Cup of Nations as the strongest European rowing team. The national team brought home 7 golden, 5 silver and 3 bronze medals.

The Festival that resounded at the last weekend became a new level of interaction between future captains. The participants of the Festival are teams of students from higher education institutions of maritime powers. It is the young captains who will open up the World Ocean together in future. Students of nine maritime higher education institutions of Russia, China and Singapore will take part in the Festival. Press Service of the Maritime State University | more |   September 13, 2006“Peter the Great Bay Cup”Finished with Vladivostok Yachtsmen’s Victory Russian Championship in Sailing for “Konrad-25P” class yachts finished in Vladivostok. It was the biggest and long-awaited annual regatta of the Far East. It lasted ten days.
Sportsmen from 18 Russian cities and towns took part in the races. In all, 32 crews participated, the greatest number for the last few years.
This year the Nevelskoy Maritime State University was represented by 13 crews, eight of them were aboard “Konrad-25P” class yachts.

Korean students have come for 10 months training as participants of the academic exchange program between the Maritime State University and the University of Incheon. The strongest sportsmen from 18 Russian cities and towns took part in the races.
