A group project in English

On 18 April the 4th-year engineer cadets presented their Project “Leading the Way to Greater Safety”. The objective of the Project was to discuss matters of ensuring safety when working aboard different types of ships involving requirements of SOLAS, STCW, MARPOL, ISM and other international conventions.

Navigation cadets passed their final examination

On 19 April 5th-year cadets of the Admiral Nevelskoy Maritime State University passed their third final examination in technical aids to navigation.

There were a lot of excellent and good marks. The examination in navigation will be their last final one. Then they will have shipboard training.

“Nadezhda” sailed from Vladivostok

On a rainy and windy day of 19 April the training sailcraft “Nadezhda” owned by the Admiral Nevelskoy Maritime State University set out for a long voyage. The purpose of the voyage is to take part in an international regatta and festival of tall ships.

On 19 April the training sailcraft “Nadezhda” owned by the Admiral Nevelskoy Maritime State University is to start her voyage. Its purpose is to take part in the international festival of tall ships to be held in Japan and also in South Korea (2-7 May).

The 5th regional contest of performers in folk musical instruments finished in Vladivostok. Among those who were awarded there is a group of accordion players from the village Volno-Nadezhdinskoye. Nina Nazarenko, student of the Maritime Technological Institute, Admiral Nevelskoy MSU, heads this musical group.

Golden medal won by cadet Sazhin

The 8th international masters’ free-style wrestling tournament was held on 8 and 9 April in the regional PT Center. Vadim Sazhin, navigation cadet was able to win Kwan Un Chol (Korea) in an intensive fight.

Peace&Green Boat visits Vladivostok

A meeting with the delegates from Japanese organization PeaceBoat and Korean organization Korea Green Foundation was held at the MSU named after Admiral G. I. Nevelskoi. Japanese – Korean project ’Peace&Green Boat-2007’ roused a great interest among the employees of our university and Ecological Organizations of Primorskyi region.

Following a good tradition

Last Saturday in March former cadets of company 1 of the Admiral Nevelskoy FEHEMC marked the 35th anniversary of their graduation. When they got their graduation certificates they agreed to meet annually. They have never given up their tradition since 1972.
