Eva Efron, Maritime State University Press Service | more |   September 11, 2008The Nadezhda rescues people We quote an entry in the log book of the sailing ship Nadezhda: “On September 10 at 21:30 information was received from the m/s Professor Khlyustin that they heard sinking people’s calls for help. At 21.30 a life-boat was launched. At 21.40 two persons were taken from water aboard the life-boat. At 21.50 they were taken aboard the Nadezhda where first aid was rendered”. After their small launch capsized they spent five hours in the water of the Amursky Bay. On the following morning the rescued people were sent home by launch.
