Historical reference about the first Russian round the world trip 1803-1806 on board Neva and Nadezhda with captains Kruzershtern and Lisyanskyi

The idea of the first around trip appeared in Russia in 1722 during a reign of Peter I Emperor. The question of safe marine route to Kamchatka was very actual that time.
Ten years later during a reign of Anna Empress this question was evoked again. The idea of around the world trip was discussed a lot of time but it was still unrealized. During a reign of Ekaterina II Russia tried another chance to prepare for the round world trip in 1787 but it failed because of war with Turkey.
With Alexander I this idea began to be realized because of necessity to defend Russian Far Eastern territories. But that time Russia didn't have suitable vessels for expeditions. Russian sailor Lisyanskyi bought two vessels with water displacement of 459 and 370 tons , later they were named "Nadezhda" with sixteen weapons and "Neva" with fourteen weapons.
U.Lisyanskyi was appointed a captain of "Neva". The head of a trip was Kruzershtern, who had a huge experience in sailing in waters of North and South America and Ost-India., but the actual head of the expedition was N.Resanov, chamberlain of the Emperor.
The goals of the expedition were to settle diplomatic and trade cooperation with Japan, getting a market in Chinese port Canton, geographic and scientific researches, estimating the activity of Russian-American company, delivering necessary cargo and spiritual mission to Russian America.
The expedition was completed with the best officers and sailors of Russian fleet.
The expedition left Krondshtat in July 26th, 1803. Around the world trip began via Copenhagen, Falmouth, Tenerife to coasts of Brazil , then around Horn Bay. The expedition reached Marquise Islands (French Polynesia) and it reached Hawaiian Islands in June 1804. From this point vessels continued their sailing separately, "Nadezhda" with Kruzershtern left to Kamchatka, "Neva" with Lisyanskyi U.F. left to an American continent to Kod'yak Island and arrived in June 13th, 1804.
"Nadezhda" with N.Resanov had been to Japan for more than a year but a diplomatic mission was failed. Having visited Kamchatka a vessel sailed to a Chinese port Canton.. As for "Neva" having finished the exploration of Russian-American company territory, having helped in the conflict with local population and building new fort-settlement Novo-Archangelsk (Sitka) and having loaded cargo it left to Canton in September 1st, 1805 where it met "Nadezhda". After selling fur in Canton and having bought Chinese goods both vessels started the back way round the bay of Good Hope. made a long crossing without calling to any ports till Portsmouth because of war with France, in August 5th it reached Kronshtadt having finished the around the world sailing the first. "Neva" spent three years, having sailed more then 45 thousand miles. "Nadezhda" with a captain Kruzershtern arrived in the 19th of August, having spent some days on the Island of St.Helen.. Three years around the world sailing had been finished, it opened a new page in the history of the World Ocean exploring. Systematic researches had been conducted from that time, a lot of oceanographic and meteorological works had been made, parts of Kurilskyi Islands, a coast of Sakhalin, Kamchatka and Japan were described. The description of a sailing, researches results I.F.Kruzershtern described in his work "Traveling around the world in 1803, 1804, 1806 on "Neva" and "Nadezhda". This report was translated to all European languages and became the worth of all educated world. His atlas " Atlas of Southern Sea" with detailed hydrographical memoirs was of great worth.
