Rock fans really enjoyed the concert

On March 26, according to numerous requests from the audience, the ANMSU variety orchestra repeated the Rock Hits concert on the stage of the Fesco-Hall. Despite some restrictions due to coronavirus, viewers filled the hall to the maximum allowed. Beautiful arrangements for a pop orchestra and cool guitar solos by Andrey Solonko and drums by Igor Petrov caused a real explosion of emotions in the audience. The listeners got acquainted with the best compositions of the famous foreign rock groups Nirvana, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd, Roxette, Metallica, AC / DC, Linking Park, Scorpions, Queen , Muse, Evanescence, System of a down and other works in arrangements and adaptations for a pop-symphony orchestra performed by musicians of the Maritime University Orchestra. The orchestra performed arrangements of works of famous rock bands so unusually that they simply amazed the sophisticated audience with the expression of the sound of familiar rock hits. The very first composition In The End of the group Linking Park, performed by Evgeny Cherednichenko, declared the high vocal and musical level of the program presented to the audience. Stepan Gaponov presented the song Californication. The presenter of the concert considered it necessary to recall the content of the work. It concerns the problem of moral degradation of modern society. According to the author of the song, California is largely to blame for its decline, which promotes all kinds of excesses and vices: craving for fame, a consumer attitude towards life and a superficial culture. The author hints that the whole world is becoming artificial and fake, like California. The protest of young musicians against these vices of modern society sounded in many rock hits. The soloist Yulia Uchaikina became a real discovery for the audience. She sang the protest song of the Irish rock band The Cranberries - Zombie with such drive, and then very soulfully sang the super famous Maybe I Maybe You by the group Scorpions. the audience warmly received the favorite rockers' songs of the Pink Floyd group - Another Brick in the Wall, The Beatles - Come Together, Bon Jovi - It’s my Life, performed together by Stepan Gaponov, Mikhail Kogan and Evgeny Cherednichenko. The current staff of the ANMSU Variety Orchestra has been performing its concerts since 2008. The orchestra makes a significant contribution to the preservation of the traditions of the fleet and the maritime industry in the Far Eastern region of Russia.
