The Russian word is stronger than COVID!

The festival of the Russian language returned to the Maritime University: on April 10, cadets, students and staff of ANMSU took part in the international educational action Total Dictation. This is a popular action, loved by many, whose participants can test their literacy, get acquainted with the work of modern Russian writers, and feel the unity with millions of people around the world in love for the Russian language. The year 2020 made its adjustments to this large-scale action, changing its format. The Total Dictation sites were closed, everyone wrote it online - at home on their computers. But of course, most of the participants prefer to write the dictation in the classical format. And this year such an opportunity presented itself. The current restrictions associated with coronavirus infection did not allow gathering the traditionally large audience of those wishing to write the dictation. But it took place - this is the main thing. Not only had those for whom Russian is their native language since childhood tried their hand at knowing it: foreigners studying at the Maritime State University also passed the Russian language test as part of the TRUD test. The geography of the participants turned out to be quite extensive: Vietnam, Japan, Indonesia, and South Africa. In total, 675198 people took part in the Total Dictation - 2021. COVID did not frighten lovers of the Russian word, which is always stronger than all circumstances.
