Meeting of cadets with a representative of SovComFlot

On September 13, the head of the SCF maritime safety department - captain-mentor of the group of companies of PJSC SovComFlot, Viktor Petrusevich, held a meeting with 1st – 5th year cadets of the faculties training for onboard specialties who want to do their shipboard training on SovComFlot ships, and work on the company`s ships after their graduation. The event was attended by the curator of the SCF scholarship program from the Maritime University, head of the department of theoretical foundations of electrical engineering Viktor Sedov.
Viktor Petrusevich introduced the cadets in detail to the projects in which SCF vessels are involved, especially those on which ANMSU graduates do their shipboard training periods and then work. The cadets watched a video about the operation of SovComFlot vessels in Arctic and subarctic projects.
They learnt about the program for the construction of new ships, tankers and gas carriers for the PJSC SovComFlot group of companies at the Zvezda Shipbuilding Complex in Bolshoy Kamen. Viktor Petrusevich assured the cadets that jobs for them will be provided in the Russian ships, the main thing is that they study well, confidently master competencies, and know English well.
Viktor Petrusevich noted that PJSC SovComFlot needs only the best cadets to work on very complex ships. Therefore, the group of SCF fellows has been significantly expanded. Currently, it includes 71 ANMSU cadets. It was decided to recruit first-year cadets into this group. The main criterion for selecting cadets for the SCF scholarship group is a confirmed average grade of at least 4.5 points for the entire period of training. Before their shipboard training, 4th and 5th year cadets have to take an English language test (Marlins Test) at the company`s crewing office.
