Regional underwater robotics competition of schoolchildren`s teams

On April 20, regional underwater robotics competition was held in the pool of the Far Eastern Maritime Training Center (FEMTC) of ANMSU. The regional stage is one of the final selections, which took place in 10 cities across Russia from March 31 to April 20.

The competition was held in the category of remote-controlled uninhabited underwater vehicles (ROV): Scout ROV (class 1-4) and Navigator ROV (class 5-8). A total of 11 teams took part in the competition.

The participants of the competition were required to complete a mission in the pool and also submit a poster or team sheet. All competition tasks were compiled based on existing research projects and tasks that use underwater robots or developments in the field of underwater robotics.

The teams that took 1st and 2nd place in the Navigator category, 1st and 3rd place in the Scout category will represent Primorsky Krai at the All-Russian stage, which will be held in Vladivostok on May 10-12.
