The members of the round table met with the new gyrocompass

ANMSU hosted a round table meeting, within the framework of which a seminar was held on the exchange of scientific and practical information and a presentation of the gyrocompass TG-8000/8500. Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Technical Aids to Navigation Alexander Kasich moderated the round table. The event was attended by the faculty of the Department of Technical Aids to Navigation, official representatives of the TOKYO KEIKI OOO Kord-Group Service Center, representatives of the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RMRS) and 3rd year cadets of the Electric Engineering Faculty of the Maritime University. A.A. Kasich spoke about the basic theoretical principles of constructing the TG-8000/8500 gyrocompass, its advantages over the Yokogawa gyrocompass. Employees of OOO Kord-Group A.D. Melnichuk and A.V. Ryazanov informed about the technical and operational features of the TG-8000 gyrocompass. During the presentation, the gyrocompass was assembled from shipping boxes. The full-scale set of gyrocompass made it possible to launch, test and try various settings of the central and peripheral devices, namely, an electronic heading graph and an electronic multifunctional repeater based on a TFT display. The cadets were able to see in action the processes that they may face in the framework of their professional activities in the future.
